I fell in love with Utah. The red rock and dramatic scenery was unbelievable. Utah is one of the coolest places I have ever visited. The mountains were layered with pastel oranges and tans. The jagged peaks were out of this world and the snow-capped crests contrasted the desert landscape so beautifully. I think the most amazing part of Utah is how massive it is. When you look out onto the landscape, it is just miles upon miles of unscathed beauty. It felt so relaxing and freeing to be momentarily detached from my busy lifestyle and be present in pure nature.
The arches blew me away. The park is located on top of a desert plateau and overlooks the gorgeous snow-topped La Sal Mountains. We drove around the massive park and visited all the major locations: Delicate Arch, Park Avenue Trail, Double Arch, Balancing Rock, and even the pictographs by the natives.
Another stop on my Utah road trip was Dead Horse Point in Canyonlands National Park! Located about 30 minutes outside of Moab, Dead Horse Point is on top of a plateau and overlooks an incredible view. The desert and red rock scenery was out of this world. The view of the winding Colorado River through the red canyons with the snow-capped La Sal mountains in the background was also absolutely stunning.
