Barcelona is such a lively city! The city has a great mixture of touristy sights, restaurants, beaches, and nightlife. The center of the city is mainly comprised of gorgeous architecture from different periods in Spanish history, with very few high-rises. Barce has a fun street culture, and there are plenty of little gems scattered around the city to visit.
Park Güell is located at the base of the hill and overlooks the city. Gaudí was an artist back in 1800’s that influenced much of the architecture throughout the city that was orchestrated by Güell. Park Güell is one of the most famous sights in Barce because of the views and unconventional art.
The Gothic Quarter is the heart of Barcelona and my favorite district in the city. This quarter has the coolest streets as well as my favorite restaurants. The Barcelona Cathedral is located in the center of the Gothic Quarter and has a stunning exterior.
The Sagrada Família is the other famous sight in Barcelona. This church is is also part of Gaudí’s work and is an elaborate structure that towers over the city. This church is absolutely inside and out.
La Taverna del Suculent was my favorite restaurant in Barce! Located right on the Rambla, this café has amazing outdoor seating and has the best cheese bread!
