When in Florence, visiting a museum is a must. Florence is quite literally the center of the Renaissance and home to some of the most famous artists in history, like Michelangelo. My favorite museum in Florence is the Uffizi Gallery. The Uffizi is located in the center and has a collection of famous paintings and sculptures from the Renaissance. I highly recommend taking a guided tour to avoid the lineups and so you have the information behind each work.
