I had never been out to the midwest before this weekend, and I was surprised by how much I loved Chicago. I had heard great things about Chi-Town, but I didn’t expect it to be such a beautiful city. Chicago in April is still quite chilly, but the skies were clear blue against the skyscrapers and it was gorgeous.
Chicago 360 is the best view of the city. It is located at the top of the John Hancock building on the 94th floor. You can get a full view of the skyscrapers and Lake Michigan up there!
Michigan Avenue is for sure the most popular street for tourists in Chicago. It runs through the center of downtown and has all the best stores right around it. Michigan Ave. is pristine and the best place to walk to take in the city.
The Chicago River flows through the center of the city and you walk right over it on Michigan Ave. The river is a stunning place to take pictures and you can book ferry rides on it too.
The Chicago Bean or Cloud Gate is a popular must-see in Chicago! It is located right in Millenium Park.
I loved eating at Ralph Lauren Café. It is a popular brunch spot with a classic menu and boutique styled interiors.
3 Arts Café is definitely the most “insta-worthy” restaurant in Chicago. Located inside a Restoration Hardware, this beautiful café has a modern menu, a chic venue, and represents Chicago perfectly.
